Masonic lodges report to provincial head offices, mainly for administrative purposes. Here at Filey, Portus Felix Lodge and Royal Lodge fall under the Province of Yorkshire North and East Ridings.  The provincial head office is called a Provincial Grand Lodge (PGL) and for the Province of Yorkshire North and East Ridings, it is situated in York.

There are currently 98 lodges in this province, so it’s likely there will be one not far from you if you are not in the Filey area.

Likewise,  provincial offices report to The United Grand Lodge Of England (UGLE) based in London. Here you can download a booklet on Freemasonry.  For more information click the logos below to navigate to the respective websites.

Not every lodge has its own website, to find more information you can visit the PGL website which has information on all lodges within the province.
