Why be a Freemason

Freemasonry is a body of men (and women) banded together for the purpose of intellectual, social and moral improvement and pledged to preserve Masonic traditions.

People from all walks of life choose to become Freemasons.  For many it’s about making new friends and acquaintances, for others it’s about being able to help deserving causes…but for most, it is a very enjoyable hobby.

A Freemason’s values are based on integrity, kindness, honesty and fairness.

Freemasons raise substantial amounts of money for charity and other good causes and are collectively second only to the National Lottery in the UK in terms of charitable donations.
